Moving...

Well, things have been so busy lately. I am finally getting around to updating this blog. I plan to keep it updated more often so friends in KY and family around the country can know what's going on with us.

On June 3rd, Tony and I moved down to Denham Springs, LA (just east of Baton Rouge). Tony was offered the position of Youth Director for First United Methodist Church Denham Springs. So, here we are. We are both very excited about the move, the new job, etc, etc. Of course we are very sad to leave our loving church family and friends in Kentucky. That was the hardest part of all of this.

We are renting a great three bedroom, two bath house here in DS. We actually found this house two days before we moved down here and were being approved to rent it while we were on the road. Thankfully, the Lord allowed all things to go smoothly and we were able to move in right away (at 7:30 pm on the day we got here, after a 13 hour car ride - me with Chaucer and Eastwood in my car, and Tony with his truck and a 12 foot trailor loaded down - to be exact). We are still getting things put away and pictures hung, etc. But once it's all complete I will load lots of pictures. I did mention that there are 3 bedrooms, which means we have a guest room (plus two couches) so vistors are very welcomed and encouraged! :)

Four days after we moved down here, Tony and I took a little trip (4.5 hours) to Florida to spend a little time on the beach and see his dad and family. We were down there for four days. It was a nice time with all. We were able to celebrate our three year wedding anniversary by being on the beach all day and then ended with a great seafood dinner (shrimp and snow crab for me, shrimp and steak for Tony...yum!). The next day was Tony's birthday and so we spent that with his dad and family. It was good too. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera at home, so I don't have any pictures of that. :( But Tony's step-mom, Ily, has enough pictures for us all. :)

So, now we are just adjusting to being back in DS and are finishing up things around the place. Tony mowed the yard today, so everything is looking nice. Look for pictures soon.

Maternity Pictures

A few weeks ago, on May 23, our good friends, Jen and Tom Morton, took maternity pictures for us. We are so blessed to have these and a thankful for their time and work. We love y'all!

I was 30 weeks pregnant when they were taken. These are my favorites.

20 Week Ultrasound!

22 Weeks

Picture taken at 20 weeks. I am now 22 weeks along and I feel like this picture is already out of date (meaning I thinking I'm already bigger than this!).

AnnaLynn kicks several times a day. There were a couple of days when I could feel her kick in my ribs! I don't know how that was possible since she isn't that big yet, but it was not as much fun as her normal kicks.

There haven't been many changes to speak of. Tony has finished his mid-terms and is now on a one week break they call "Reading Week." Meaning, spring break that you have lots of assignments and reading to do during. He is doing well, though.

I have been looking into different projects that I can do to prepare for AnnaLynn. Last night I made an "udder cover" or "hooter hider" for nursing. It was very easy to do, and I love the fabric pattern that I found. These are selling online for $35! I made this one for less than $10.

Tony and I went camping a couple of weeks ago at the Red River Gorge in the Daniel Boone National Forest (East KY). We are going again tonight with a group of about 8 of us. Here is a picture of Tony and Chaucer from last trip.
We have learned that our 125 pound great dane is scared of the dark. He loves playing out in the woods, but when night falls he is ready to go home. I think he is slowly getting better about this. He seemed to do well when he went in the tent. He is too cute. I guess until AnnaLynn comes y'all have to suffer through pictures and stories of Chaucer, our first child. :)

AnnaLynn

Tony, Mom, Granny and I went to my 20 week appointment today. We had an ultrasound which allowed us to see that we will be having a little AnnaLynn Mae Angell. I was very surprised having almost completely convinced myself that we would be having a Ryan Abraham. We are trilled and so excited. It's nice being able to say she instead of it.
Everything looks absolutely perfect. Her heart, kidneys, spine, brain, weight (14 oz), etc. Looks just right according to the drs. AnnaLynn didn't care too much for the ultrasound and was kicking at the wand thing and moving all around. It was a wonderfully awesome day.

Knock Knock

Friday, Feb. 12th I thought I felt the baby kick. I wasn't sure because I've never experienced it before. Well, last Wednesday I knew for sure the baby was kicking. So, for the past week or so I have felt little baby Angell moving around. Pretty awesome!

Four months down…

Well, I’m officially 16 weeks and 3 days. I know friends and family have been anxious to hear another update…but honestly, there hasn’t been anything to report. In fact, these last four months I have felt completely normal (meaning not pregnant). I went to the doctor/midwife last Wednesday. Everything looks great! Baby’s heart rate is 155. I, surprisingly, had not gained any weight since the last appointment (may ½ pound), but my appetite is great and I have been eating. I think the weight gain will pick up pretty quickly the next few weeks (at least I have heard). Our next appointment is scheduled for 3:00 on March 16th. That is the appointment were we will hopefully find out if Baby is a boy or a girl. Mom and Granny are planning to be here for that, and I am really excited to have some family to share that with. There has been a slight change in waist size as evident by the picture.

In other exciting news…
I have decided to start selling Pampered Chef. I am really excited about this. I went to a party a couple of weeks ago and thought it looked like fun. I have my Grand Opening shows this week (Thursday and Saturday) at my apartment. So, I have been spending some time learning about the company and the products…really good stuff.

Also, Tony and I went to the Creation Museum for Valentine’s Day. It wasn’t too bad. We had seen several videos from the museum before we went, so really, there wasn’t a whole lot unexpected. They did, however, have a petting zoo which I was really happy about! I got to pet and feed a camel named Gomer. They also had a zebra/quarter horse mix, a zebra/donkey mix, sheep, a cow, some birds and three alpaca (one of which spit on me). It was fun.

Tony has started classes back, and he is very excited about them. He is taking Hebrew II, World Religions, and Basic Christian Doctrine. He will have lots and lots of reading to do, but he thinks he will really enjoy these classes.

Well, I guess that’s about all that’s new with us. I will post more as more things happen. I am told I should be able to feel Baby move within the next few weeks!
